    • Mary was baptized in St. Mary's Catholic Church in Florence in September 1863. Her godparents were John Quirk and Catherine McCurdy.
      Mrs. Mary McCurdy Waterbury of Redfield, N.Y. died at her home in that village Saturday afternoon, Dec. 21, 1929, at the age of sixty-three years and three months.
      Born at Redfield, N.Y., September 21, 1863, the daughter of James McCurdy and Catherine McCahan, Mary McCurdy was one of a family of ten children. January 1, 1889 she become the wife of Collins H. Waterbury, also of Redfield. To them was born one daughter, Alice, now Mrs. Harry Crow of Redfield, who with her father survive her; also surviving her are two sisters, Mrs. William Kunkel of New Hartford, N.Y. and Mrs. John F. Murphy, of Omaha, Neb.; also one granddaughter, Bethal W. Crow of Redfield.
      Mrs. Waterbury was a member of the Orwell Chapter of the Rebekahs, the Williamstown Chapter of the Eastern Star, and the Community Congregational church of Redfield, also Redfield Grange.
      Funeral serviced were held from her late home Thursday afternoon, December 26, 1929, at two o'clock, in charge of the Rev. Russell O. Norris, paster of the Community Church. Interment was in the Redfield Cemetery.
