      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, December 2, 1920 Oswego Daily Palladium - Oswego, New York - Pulaski, December 2 - John Erskine, 98, one of the oldest residents in Oswego county, died yesterday at his home two miles South of Fernwood in the town of Richland, after an illness of four weeks. The deceased was born in Otsego county, October 17th, 1822, and came to the town of Richland when a boy and cleared the farm upon which he lived all his life. He is survived by a son, John C. Erskine, of Pulaski, and four daughters, Mrs. Ann Vorce, Mexico; Mrs. Jessie F. Graham, Sandy Creek; Miss Carrie Erskine and Miss Delia Erskine, who lived at the family home, and a sister, Mrs. Sarah Norris of Syracuse. The funeral will be held tomorrow afternoon and burial will be at the Willis cemetery.
