      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 8, 1934 Mexico Independent - Mexico, New York - Was Native of Fernwood - Miss Cordelia R. Erskine, aged 82, died early Friday at her home in Fernwood. Miss Erskine was born at Fernwood, August 5, 1851, daughter of the late John and Hannah Treadway Erskine. In her earlier life she was active in the Fernwood Baptist church. Surviving are two sisters, Miss Caroline Erskine, with whom she had made her home, and Mrs. Ann Vorce of Mexico, also one brother, John of Mexico. Private services were held from the home on Sunday at 2 p.m. Interment was in Willis cemetery.
