Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, July 9, 2005 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Harold E. Wing Owned Builders Supply Store ¬Harold E. Wing, 89, of 2728 County Route 2, died Thursday at his home, where he was under the care of his family and Oswego County Hospice. Mr. Wing owned and operated Sancona Builders Supply in Sandy Creek from 1951 until retiring in 1978. He also operated a poultry farm in Richland for 30 years. Born August 29, 1915, at Tupper Lake, son of George and Elizabeth Rock Wing, he graduated from Felts Mills High School in 1933 and moved to Richland in 1936. He married Helen E. Riley on February 1, 1938, in Richland. She died February 29, 1996. He married Beulah Delano Hobbs Jacobs on July 14, 1996. Mr. Wing received a pilot's license in 1945 and flew his plane out of the Richland Airport. He was a member of the Experimental Aircraft Association Chapter 362, Pulaski Masonic Lodge 415 and Royal Arch Masons, and was sexton for 20 years of Richland Cemetery. Surviving besides his wife are three daughters and their husbands, Lucy and Robert Larkins, Copenhagen, Margaret and Laurence Sandstrom, Deland, Florida, and Carolyn and Bert Cowan, Sandy Creek; two sons and a daughter-in-law, C. James and Margaret, Pulaski, and John, and his companion, Karen Driskell, Richland; three stepsons and two stepdaughters-in-law, Wallace and Kathleen Hobbs, Ellisburg, Leslie and Dorothy Hobbs, Adams, and Bert Hobbs, San Francisco, California; two stepdaughters and their husbands, Janet and Fred Goodnough, Ellisburg, and Marcia and Lawrence Rudd, Mannsville; 16 grandchildren, 16 step-grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren, 23 step-great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. A sister, Maude Madden, and two brothers, Barton and Kenneth Wing, died before him. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Sunday at Summerville Funeral Home, Sandy Creek, with the Rev. Donald Wiltse, associate pastor of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, officiating. Burial will be in Richland Cemetery. Calling hours will be 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
