    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 28, 1895 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In Oswego at the residence of her son-in-law, Andrew S. Smith, August 24, 1895, Mrs. Betsey Hardy. Nearly sixty years ago deceased moved to Port Ontario, where she lived until within a few years she became too feeble to care for herself. Since then she had lived with her daughter, Mrs. Maria Smith. The funeral was held in Oswego last Monday and interment took place at Daysville cemetery, Rev. D. J. Bailey officiating.

      Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 4, 1895 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Port Ontario, September 2nd - August 26th, the funeral of Mrs. Betsey Hardy was held from the residence of her son, Perry Hardy. The deceased was for many years a respected resident of this place. Four children, five grandchildren, six great-grandchildren, and one great great-grandchild survive her. She was the daughter of Nicholas Powers, a revolutionary soldier. Her former home was in Jefferson County.
