      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, August 19, 1943 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Frank D. Reed Dies at Richland Home - Mr. Frank D. Reed, 58, prominent business man of Richland and well known throughout this vicinity died early yesterday morning following a very short illness. He was born July 26, 1885 in Worth, New York, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. George Reed. He has been a resident of Richland for better than 40 years having moved there when a boy to work in the store of his brother, Ora Reed, the same business which he bought several years ago and operated until his death. He was married September 25, 1907. He was president of the board of education of Pulaski Central school district for the current year and had been president of the Richland board of education for a number of years prior to centralization. He was a former Justice of Peace, was very active in the Richland Methodist church and a member of Pulaski lodge F. & A.M, Spring Brook lodge L O. O. F. and Sunbeam Rebekah lodge. Besides his wife, Mable Burch Reed, he is survived by two sons, Dr. Burch K. Reed of Sandy Creek and Captain Harry G. Reed, chief of surgery of an army hospital in the Canal Zone. Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. at the Methodist church, conducted by Rev. Herbert Harrison of Sandy Creek assisted by Mrs. Donald M. Cobb, pastor of the Richland church Burial will be in Richland cemetery.
