Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, March 8, 1951 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - F. M. McNett, 88, Rites Are Today - Frederick M. McNett, 88, died late Monday evening at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Robert Balcom, Delano street, where he had made his home since his retirement, some 15 years ago. Funeral services will be held today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. from the Taylor funeral home with the Rev. George Potter, pastor of the Fernwood Methodist church officiating. Burial will be made in the Willis cemetery. Besides his daughter with whom he lived, he is survived by a son, Owen McNett, also Delano street, a sister, Mrs. Mattie Hogan of Cato and two granddaughters, Beverly and Dianne McNett, of Pulaski. Mr. McNett was a member of one of the pioneer families of the town of Albion, born August 18, 1862, a son of Milton and Ann Owen McNett. His early life was spent on the farm where he was born and following his marriage to Miss Lydia Smiley they lived in Daysville and later moved to the Tinker Tavern farm, where Mrs. McNett died in 1927. He remained there until his retirement, when he came into the village with his daughter. Mr. McNett was a member of the Pulaski Masonic lodge, 415 F. & A. M., of the Fernwood Grange and Methodist church and of the Macabees.
