Dryden helped to care for their sister, Mrs. Alice Murphy, through the last days of her life. Her death occurred last week. The funeral was held from the home of her father, Richard Youngs. Burial at Sand Hill.
Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, July 23, 1902 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Daysville - The death of Mrs. Alice Murphy occurred at the home of her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Richard Youngs, and the funeral was held from the residence on Saturday. Mrs. Murphy has been suffering for the past few months with lung trouble, and less than a year ago her husband died of the same disease. Besides her parents and brothers and sisters, she leaves one little son. The funeral services were conducted by Rev. E. A. Anson, of Pulaski, assisted by Rev. Marshall, of Fernwood. The interment was made in the Daysville cemetery. The large number of flowers at the funeral mutely testified to the esteem in which she was held. Relatives were present from Watertown, Lycoming, Evans Mills and Rodman. Her age was thirty-two years.
