Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, August 9, 1939 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Frank Youngs Dies At Home On Riverside - Frank I. Youngs, 67, died at his home on Riverside, yesterday afternoon about 4:45 following an illness of several months. He underwent a major operation in January and never fully recovered from that. Mr. Youngs was the son of Richard and Lydia Wright Youngs, and was born on a farm near Faribault, Minnesota, December 23, 1871. On December 21, 1892 in Ellisburg, Jefferson county, he married Miss Carrie Moyer, who survives him. Since that time the Youngs home has been in this village and vicinity where he followed the carpenter's trade, for more than twenty years with the William Wilder business. He was an attendant of the Methodist church, and for many years an active member of Pulaski Lodge I. O. O. F., being a past Noble Grand of that organization. Surviving besides the widow are one son, Jacob Youngs of this village; one daughter, Mrs. Gurdon Wentworth of North Syracuse; a brother, William Youngs of Fernwood and a sister, Mrs. Theo. Leach of California. Also 9 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren and several nephews and nieces. The funeral will be held at 2:30 Thursday afternoon at the Methodist church, preceded by prayer at the home with Rev. W. A. Gardner officiating. Odd Fellows rites will be observed with burial in Daysville cemetery. The bearers will be brother members of Pulaski lodge, Emerson Stewart, James Middleton, Harold Scott, Floyd Dingman, Charles Pratt and Lawson King. All Odd Fellows are requested to meet at the rooms in Democrat Block at 2 o'clock.
