- MERRITT A. JOYNER
Merritt A. Joyner, proprietor of the Central Hotel at Lacona, died early Wednesday a.m. from indirect results following an operation for appendicitis performed some weeks since. At the time of the operation the appendix had ruptured and as a result, though Mr. Joyner stood the operation well, did not convalesce as rapidly as he should after his return home.
The funeral will be held from the home Saturday at 1 p. m. Burial will be at Vermillion beside Mr. and Mrs. Samuel Cottrell, Mrs. Joyner's parents.
Beside his wife he is survived by two daughters, Mrs. G.C. Fradenbrug and Mrs. Chas. Bach of Beaver Falls, who have been here for the past two weeks and a son, S.L. Joyner of Sandy Creek.
Mr. Joyner was for many years connected with the hotel at Greenboro and later ran the hotel at Lorraine.
Previous to coming here he conducted a hotel at Beaver Falls for eleven years. He also is survived by two brothers, Arthur of Adams and Jasper of Lacona and four sisters, Mrs. Will Berry and Mrs. James Berry of Adams Mrs. Levi LeClair of Worth and Mrs. John Bingham of Adams Center.
