Luverne M. Hill, 88, Raleigh, N.C., formerly of Pulaski, died Saturday at Wake Medical Center, Raleigh.
Mrs. Hill, a teacher, retired from Altmar-Parish-Williamstown Central School in 1975.
Born March 17, 1910, in Lowville, daughter of Herman and Lena Wagner Smithling, she was a 1928 graduate of Pulaski Academy and a 1931 graduate of Oswego Normal School.
She married Harry L. Hill on June 27, 1935, in St. John the Evangelist Church. Mr. Hill, a baker, died Aug. 6, 1961.
Surviving are two sons, James F., Raleigh, and Robert L., Vestal, seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Michael's Catholic Church, Cary, N.C. Burial will be in Lowville Cemetery.
Arrangements are with Brown-Wynne Funeral Home, Cary.
