    • Octa was living in Almond with her brother Orlow in 1900 and with her father and nephew, Miles, in 1910 in Alfred. She was said to have been beaten over the head with an Iron Skillett, by her mother when she was young. At least from 1920 to her death she was a patient("inmate") and worked at the Willard State Hospital in Senca County, New York. (Census records of 1920, 1925, and 1930 she is an inmate there... not found there in 1940 - assumed died before 1940)
