Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday Evening, March 17, 1914 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Civil War Veteran Dead - Pulaski, March 17 - Richard Youngs, a veteran of the Civil War and for several years a resident of Minetto, passed away last evening at the residence of his son, Frank I. Youngs, River street, following an illness of several months. Richard Youngs was born at Henderson Harbor, November 10, 1838. He served throughout the Civil War as a member of Company A, New York Volunteers, participating in many engagements. After the war he engaged in farming and about five years ago he came to Pulaski, where he had since made his home with his son, coming from Minetto. He was a member of J. B. Butler Post No. 111, G.A.R. Surviving are three sons and two daughters, William V. Youngs of Fernwood, Charles E. Youngs of Lafargeville and Frank I. Youngs of Pulaski; Mrs. Frank Dryden of Minetto and Mrs. Amanda Hill of Palermo. The funeral arrangements have not been completed.
