CAMDEN - Paul O. Fauser, 68, of 51 Elm St., plant engineer for the Camden Wire Co. for over 34 years, died this morning at his home.
He was born May 11, 1901, in Camden, son of Christian and Mina Obrist Fauser, and received his education here.
He and Dorothy B. Conniff were married June 30, 1945, by the Rev. Harold J. Quinn. He was a member of the United Methodist Church; a 50-year member of the Volunteer Fire Co., and Rome BPO Elks Lodge.
He served as village mayor 1949-51 and was elected supervisor in 1967. However, he resigned this position because of ill health.
Mr. Fauser was president of the Friends of Forest Park, Inc., having been active in the organization since its founding a number of years ago.
Surviving are his wife; a sister, Mrs. Paul (Magdalena) Seubert, Camden; two brothers, George, Boynton Beach, Fla., and Charles, Camden.
Funeral services will be held Friday at 2 p.m. from the McDaniels Funeral Home, 47 Miner Ave., Camden. Burial will be in St. John's Cemetery.
