From Ancestry.com, "Desecendants of Tunis Wells and Other Surnames", by Dave Wells:

"He lived adjacent to his father in Dutchess County, and inherited part of this property at his father's death. Upon his death, his will was offered for probate 7 Feb 1815, but was contested and set aside. His sister Meribah refused to be Adminsitrator. Finally David and Darius and two others were given letters of administration. The will provides for his wife Deborah, but mentions no children. The only Tallman mentioned is "my grand-nephew Britton Tallman my large quarto bible." Most of the bequests were to in-laws, the Heads and Wilburs. "

From "the Settlers of the Beekman Patent", Volume 7, Page 38:

"A lease of 1 Aug. 1785 between Margaret B. Livingston and William Rider of Beekman describes the location of the Hustis farm. "To Rider and wife Helena. in lot 14- 356 acres adjoins Jonathan Husted, Thomas Casey, etc." A map on back- [very poor condition] shows S. line of this farm at north of lot 13 and south edge of 14. Huckleberry Hill is to lower right, Casey due north, Husted to NW. Rider assigned lease to John and Stephen Tallman in March 1794. Thomas Tripp and Thomas Tripp Jr. were witnessess. Stephen Tallman assigned his part to John Tallman and Darius Tallman was a witness.

Jonathan Huestis was sued by Johannis Tappen in 1751. [CP 21 May 1751 Page 13]. He traded at the Mabbett store in Washington Precinct 1761-63. As Husted 9sic) he is listed as having bought rum, buttons, salt, mails, sugar, check, shoes, linen, and a pocketbook. He offset his account with Lovet Head and paid his bill with butter, cheese and a firkin. As Hustis he bought run, salt, pipes, tobacco, sugar, nails, liquor, and offset with Soule and paid cash and firkins. He was also at this store in 1773: on 17 July 1773 he bought a pair of woman's shoes for 8s. On 18 Aug. 1773 he bought 3 lbs sugar for £1/2/0. On 1 Nov. 1773 he bought seed for 15s 1p. The store daybook noted: "Darius Tallman present." On 4 Nov. 1773 Jonathan Hustis Jr. charged one pair of stockings to his account, 10 shillings. The storekeeper noted: "Pay all in one month or 16 more." The entire entry was then crossed out and a small margin note reads: "carried to ?IB" (Hard to read). The next entry in the daybook is for "Jonathan Hustis Sr., per son". The account was charged for tea and tape; a total of 1s 8p. His son also charged to the account 6 Dec. 1773, a total of 3s 8p. ..."

From "the Settlers of the Beekman Patent", Volume 4, Page 424:

"14. WILLIAM DOTY, (William, Jacob, Isaac, Edward), was born ca. 1757, possibly in Beekman...

William Doty named a son Brittain T. Doty and we suspect that William Doty's wife Jemima may have been a daughter of Brittain Tallman of Beekman. ...
William Doty died 24 April 1852, in 94th year (born ca. 1757) and his wife Jemima d. 28 Apr 1852 in her 92nd year. They were both bd. in the Methodist Ground at Potter's Corners in LaGrange, not far from where they lived. ..."
