      The funeral for Elsie L. Kehoe, 77, of Castor Road, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Summerville Funeral Home, with the Rev. Anthony Keefe, pastor of St. Francis Church, Lacona, and the Rev. Raymond McVey of Unity Acres, Orwell, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.

      Mrs. Kehoe died Thursday at Mercy Center for Health Services, Watertown, after a lengthy illness.

      Calling hours are 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home, with a vigil service scheduled for 8:15 p.m.

      Surviving are her husband, Floyd H.; four daughters, Carol Hill, Brackney, Pa., Barbara Rice, Albion, Karen Potter, Hannibal, and Marilyn Soluri, Sandy Creek; two sons, David, Sandy Creek, and Christopher, Conklin; 16 grandchildren; and a great-grandchild.

      Born in Dalton, Mass., Feb. 6, 1916, a daughter of James and Elizabeth Cushine Hand, she graduated from high school in Massachusetts.

      She married Floyd H. Kehoe on Sept. 18, 1941, in Pittsfield, Mass., and the couple moved to Sandy Creek in 1943.

      Mrs. Kehoe was employed as a cook in several Sandy Creek restaurants before going to work as a teacher's aide with Sandy Creek Central School, retiring in 1978. She and her husband owned and operated a dairy farm on Castor Road for many years.

      Mrs. Kehoe was a communicant of St. Francis Church, Lacona, and a former 4-H leader.
