      Janet Carol Hocking, 62, of South Atlantic Avenue, New Smyrna Beach, FL, a resident since 1989, died May 23, 2001 at home.
      Mrs. Hocking, a homemaker, was born in Springfield, Mass., and moved to Florida from Amsterdam. She enjoyed painting and golf.
      Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Dean; three daughters, Denise Hocking, Rochester, Diane Dobbs, Schenectady and Michelle Hocking, Amsterdam; a brother, William Raymond, New Smyrna Beach; two sisters, Alice Gorse, Harriman, and Donna Schaeffer, Cobleskill; and four grandchildren.
      Memorial donations may be made to Hospice of Volusia/Flagler, 3800 Woodbriar Trail, Port Orange, FL 32119.
      A memorial service will be held at Greater Grace Community Church, Malta, on June 16.
