    • Silas was a veteran of the Civil War. upon return home he married his cousin Huludia Tilton Ballou. He farmed some unsuccessfully and abandoned Huludia about 1882.
      Silas moved to Flint, Michigan with his brother Seth. He married again there about 1884. He and his 2nd wife had a child and then he left her. In 1888 he later moved to Gladwin County, Michigan where he remarried a 3rd time and began a family.
      After 1902 Silas is missing again and Flora is living with her third husband Charles Matthews in Sheboygan, Michigan.
