Herbert J. Wilson, 78, Milfay, Olka., formerly of Sandy Creek, died Wednesday in a one-car accident on Highway 99 in Prague, Okla.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at the Summerville Funeral Home with the Rev. Betsy Mowry, pastor of Park United Methodist Church, Pulaski, officiating. Burial will be in Pulaski Cemetery.
Calling hours will be 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife, Vivian; three sons, Albert, Pulaski, Francis "Frank," Milfay, and John "Jack," Sandy Creek; a daughter, Mrs. Rose Pitts, Milfay; 21 grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Ada Green, Moravia, and Mrs. Eva Meyer, National City, Calif.
A daughter Eva died.
He was born Aug. 31, 1912, in Croghan, a son of Edmund and Rosetti Breeze Wilson.
Mr. Wilson lived at Sandy Creek from 1951 to 1975. He was employed at Krakau Implement Co., and later at the Camden Wire Co., retiring in 1975. Mr. Wilson moved to Oklahoma following his retirement.
He married Ruth Leonard, a native of Harrisville, on Aug. 25, 1933. She died in an automobile accident Nov. 10, 1968, near Wilkes-Barre, Pa. He married Vivian Carmeny in September.
Mr. Wilson was a member of the Valley View Church of God, Depew, Okla.
