- Newspaper Obituary - October 3, 1979 Syracuse Post Standard - Syracuse, New York - Mrs. Lizzy A. Baker - Oswego - Mrs. Lizzy A. Baker, 73, of O'Connor Road, town of Scriba, died Monday at Genesee Hospital, Rochester. She was the widow of Edward G. Baker. Born in Altmar, she was the daughter of the late George and Melinda Green Towsley. She had been a resident of the town of Scriba for many years. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Lucy Howard of Fulton, Mrs. Leonard (Bessie) Besaw of Oswego and Mrs. Frances Sargent of Savannah; three sons, Edward of Camby, Ind., John O. of Scriba and Irving of Sandy Creek; 31 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Dain Funeral Home Thursday at a time to be announced. Burial will be in Peck's Cemetery. Calling hours will be 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today and Thursday.
Newspaper Obituary - Friday, October 5, 1979 Palladium Times - Oswego, New York - Funeral - Mrs. Lizzy Baker - Services for Mrs. Lizzy A. Baker of the Town of Scriba who died Monday, were held this morning at the Dain Funeral Home. The Rev. Walter Ames of the South Scriba Methodist Church officiated. Burial was at Peck's Cemetery.
