- Jean A. Phillips, 74, a resident of 55 Eisenhower Ave., Oswego, passed away October 28, 2006 at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. Born in Oswego, she is the daughter of the late Harry Sr. and Dorothy (Waters) Hare. Jean sang and played the organ at various churches including Elim Grace Christian Church and Port City Faith. She was a seamstress and quilter and enjoyed knitting. She was a crafter. She was employed as a waitress for various restaurants. What she enjoyed most was traveling and spending time with her family. Surviving are her husband Robert L. Phillips Sr., three daughters, Nancy (Thomas) Bendzunas of Alton, Ill; Patricia (Tony) Peralta of Oswego; Mary Irizarry of Oswego; two sons, Robert L. (Donna) Phillips Jr. of Pulaski; Lawrence (Kathy) Phillips of Oswego; a brother Harry J. (Shirley) Hare Jr. of Oswego; two sisters, Lorraine Jodway of Florida and Patricia Paugh of Maryland; seventeen grandchildren, fourteen great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be held 10a.m. Tuesday at Nelson Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Calling hours will be held 4-7p.m. Monday at the Funeral Home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego.
