- ROBERT L. COFFIN, 57, DIES AT LACONA HOME

Robert L. Coffin, 57, of Cobb Road, R.D. 1, died Thursday morning at his home. He had suffered with diabetes for several years.
The funeral will be 1 p.m. Saturday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski, with retired Rev. Ivan Greenfield officiating. Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral home.
Surviving are his wife, Norma; two sons, Robert E. and Mark, both of Lacona; two stepsons, Larry Whaley, Pulaski, and Lyle Whaley, Canastota; three daughters, Linda Dailey, Seneca Falls, Sandra Pettit, Lacona, and Laurie Fox, Pulaski; 15 grandchildren; his stepmother, Hazel Coffin, Lacona; a brother, William, Tully; two sisters, Gladys Figary, Fulton, and Eva Cooley, Manlius, and several nieces and nephews.
Born in Tully March 20, 1931, a son of Ernest and Edna Nichols Coffin, he was graduated from Pulaski High School in 1949.
He married Norma Cole Aug. 2, 1952.
For many years, Mr. Coffin owned and operated a dairy farm on the Cobb Road. For the past 20 years, he also owned and operated the Coffin Trucking Co.

Robert L. Coffin, 57, of Cobb Road died Thursday at his home after a long illness.
A native of Tully, Mr. Coffin resided most of his life in Lacona. He was the owner and operator for many years of a dairy farm on Cobb Road and for the past 20 years was the owner and operator of Coffin Trucking Co. He was a 1949 graduate of Pulaski High School.
Surviving are his wife, Norma; four sons, Larry Whaley of Pulaski, Lyle Whaley of Canastota and Robert E. and Mark Coffin, both of Lacona; three daughters, Linda Dailey of Seneca Falls, Sandra Pettit of Lacona and Laurie Fox of Pulaski; his stepmother, Hazel Coffin of Lacona; a brother, William of Tully; two sisters, Gladys Figary of Fulton and Eva Cooley of Manlius; and 15 grandchildren.
