Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, September 20, 1997 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Herman Jordal, Jr., Laborer, Carpenter - Herman Jordal Jr., 50, of 205 North Fernwood Road, died of a heart attack Thursday at Oswego Hospital. He was a laborer and carpenter on construction projects for many years. Born August 19, 1947, in Oswego, son of Herman Sr. and June Manwaring Jordal, he was a 1964 graduate of Pulaski High School. He was a member of North Mexico United Methodist Church. He married Deborah M. LaFontaine on June 25, 1977, at the Fernwood United Methodist Church with the Rev. Allan Dickinson officiating, ended in divorce. Surviving besides his parents, residents of Mexico, are three sons, Herman III and Charles R., both of Pulaski, and Travis, Watertown; a daughter, Jody Lynn Shaw, Mexico; three brothers, Donald, Pulaski, and Otto and Raymond, both of Mexico; two sisters, June Shaw, Pulaski, and Sylvia Parrot, Henderson, and four grandchildren. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park St., with the Rev. John Nickolas officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery Calling hours will be 9:30 to 11 a.m. Monday at the funeral home.
