Mary Louise Jordal, 61, Penney Road, town of Henderson, formerly of Watertown, was dead on arrival early Tuesday at the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown.
She was stricken ill at home and was driven by her husband, Herman C. Jordal, to the hospital, according to the Jefferson County Sheriff's Department. Upon arrival, hospital personnel found her dead in the car, and were unable to revive her, detectives said.
Although death was believed caused by a heart attack, an autopsy was to be conducted today.
A graveside service will be held in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood, in the spring.
There are no calling hours. Arrangements are with the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
Surviving are her husband, Herman Calvin Jordal; two sons, Robert and Ronald Jacobs, both of Cape Vincent; two daughters, Joanne Cirigliano, Phoenix, Ariz., and Katherine Martin, Cape Vincent, and four sisters, Katherine Bourcy and Patricia Marra, both of Watertown, Vivian Boulton, Dexter, and Jane Crossley, Scotia.
She was born Nov. 30, 1930, in Watertown, a daughter of Ira and Katherine Devine Peters. She graduated from Immaculate Heart Academy, Watertown, in 1949.
Mrs. Jordal lived in Watertown most of her life, moving to Henderson in 1981.
She married Herman Calvin Jordal Aug. 16, 1978.
She had been previously married.
