      Newspaper Obituary - Tuesday, September 9, 2003 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Donald S. Petrie, 74, of 574 Hong Kong Road, died Sunday at his home. Mr. Petrie owned and operated a NAPA Auto Parts store in Spencer, retiring in 1994. He previously worked for Agway and GLF throughout the Northeast for 27 years. He was a member and a past president of the Airstream Club of Upstate New York, a member of the Pulaski and Spencer-Candor Lions clubs and a 29-year member of Robert Edwards American Legion Post 358. Born December 24, 1928, in Pulaski, son of Rollo and Ethel Pettis Petrie, he attended school in Pulaski and served from 1945 to 1947 in the Army Air Forces. A marriage to Mary Katherine Carnrite ended in divorce. Surviving are two sons and their wives, Donald C. and Deborah, Vestal, and John S. and Deborah, Pulaski; two daughters and a son-in-law, Gail Meade, Warners, and Sondra and David Rose, Pulaski; his longtime companion, Beverly Metz, Ricard; two sisters, Louella Ravell, New Martinsville, West Virginia, and Ruth Ann Petrie LaMartina, Rochester; a brother, John R., Homer, nine grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. A sister, Betty Paro, and a brother, Robert, died before him The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Foster-Hax Funeral Home. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to Oswego County Hospice, Box 102, Oswego, New York 13126 or Pulaski Lions Club.
