Eleanor Mattison Geyer, 86, of Westmoreland County, VA, died on Dec. 29, 2009 at Mary Washington Hospital.
Mrs. Geyer was born in Altmar, NY. She also lived in Ambler, PA and was the widow of Albert G. Geyer, III of Ambler, PA.
She is survived by two sons; Albert G. Geyer (Jane) of Warsaw, VA and Charles A. Geyer (Anne) of Oak Grove, VA.
Also surviving are two sisters; Virginia Pollic of Richland, NY and Ruth Larrabee of Detroit, MI; five grandchildren: Claudia Bracero, Houston, TX, Julie Geyer, Alexandria VA, Pierson Geyer, Colleen Geyer and Mary Claire Geyer all of Oak Grove, VA; and three great-grandchildren: Liam Geyer, Julian Bracero and Elena Bracero.
Visitation is from 3-4 p.m. Sat., January 16, at Nash and Slaw Funeral home, King George, VA. with a brief service to follow.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks contributions be made to the Colonial Beach Rescue Squad, 225 Dennison St. Colonial Beach, VA 22443.
Eleanor Mattison Geyer Eleanor Mattison Geyer of Westmoreland County, Va., formerly of Ambler, died Dec. 29, 2009, at Mary Washington Hospital. She was 86. Born Oct. 10, 1923, in Altmar, N.Y., she was the daughter of the late Charles and Ruth Mattison of Altmar, N.Y. She was the wife of the late Albert G. Geyer III of Ambler. Mrs. Geyer was a dietician and housewife. She was a member of the VFW of Adamstown, Pa. She is survived by two sons, Albert G. Geyer IV (Jane) of Warsaw, Va., and Charles A. Geyer (Anne) of Oak Grove, Va.; two sisters, Virginia Pollic of Richland, N.Y., and Ruth Larrabee of Detroit, Mich.; five grandchildren, Claudia Bracero of Houston, Texas, Julie Geyer of Alexandria, Va., Pierson Geyer, Colleen Geyer and Mary Claire Geyer, all of Oak Grove, Va.; and three great-grandchildren, Liam Geyer, Julian Bracero and Elena Bracero. The family will receive family and friends from 3 to 4 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 16, followed by a brief service at Nash and Slaw Funeral Home, 11089 James Madison Parkway, King George, Va. Memorial contributions may be made to Colonial Beach Rescue Squad.
