Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, May 1, 1890 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - April 20, 1890, Mrs. Hannah Fleming, aged 82 years. Mrs. Fleming and her husband were among the pioneers of this country, and settled here when nothing but log houses were to be found in this section. By industry and frugality they amassed a large property which they both lived to a ripe old age to enjoy. Mr. Fleming died about seven years ago since which time Mrs. Fleming has lived in the family of her youngest son, Andrew. She was the mother of six children, four of whom, David, William and Andrew Fleming, of this place, and Mrs. Margaret Manwarren, of Texas, survive her. She leaves a large number of grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. For some time past she has been afflicted with dropsy, and it finally resulted in her death. The funeral was held from the house, Rev. R. F. Whipple officiating. The choir from Texas sang. A good neighbor, a devoted mother and a sincere Christian has gone to her reward, for "their works do follow them." She was laid to rest in the Sand Hill cemetery beside her husband.
