Steve M. Urban

Steve M. Urban, of Syracuse, passed away Monday evening. Born in Syracuse, he graduated from Vocational High School and was a mechanical technician for Barnes and Cones for 37 years before his retirement in 1980. He was a communicant of the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus and was "Man of the Year" for the year 2000 of the West Side Seniors. Steve was an avid fisherman and he served his country with pride in the U.S. Army during WWII.
Survivors: his beloved wife of 60 years, Eloise (Smith); three daughters, Sandra Johnson of N. Syracuse, Deborah Bognaski of Binghamton and Linda (Jerry) LaVeck of Liverpool; a sister, Lottie Urban of Syracuse; two brothers, Michael Urban of E. Syracuse and John Urban of Syracuse; three grandchildren, Tracy, Tina and Jenna; and one great-granddaughter, Marissa.
Services: 9 a.m. Friday at the GIMINSKI-WYSOCKI FUNERAL HOME and 9:30 a.m. at the Basilica of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.Interment with military honors at Sacred Heart Cemetery Geddes. Friends may call on the family from 4 to 7 p.m.
