- January 30, 2006 Raymond Earl Halsey, 86, of Jamesville, died Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Albion, he retired from Sims Casting Co. in 1984 after 35 years. He enjoyed watching baseball, particularly his favorite team, the NY Yankees. He was prede-ceased by his wife, Helen Goodwin Halsey in 1998. Survivors: Daughter, Diane Loomis of LaFayette; son, Thomas (Cynthia) Halsey of Kirkville; sisters, Marion Ginn of Mexico and Reatha Spedding of Pulaski; grandchildren, Lana Capria, Bill Conway, Kelly Halsey and Kim Shirtz; six great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Calling Hours: Friday, noon to 2 p.m. at Ballweg & Lunsford Funeral Home, Syracuse with a funeral service to immediately follow at 2 p.m. at the funeral home, 4612 S. Salina Street.
