    • Norma C. Vrooman, age 87, resident of Pulaski, passed away Thursday at St. Luke's nursing home in Oswego. Norma resided in Pulaski since 1939, she previously lived in Central Square. She was born November 16, 1923, in North Syracuse, the daughter of Donald and Dorothy Snow Ladd. She attended Central Square schools. Norma married Wendall "Pete" Vrooman on July 29, 1943. She was employed by GE in Syracuse for 25 years, retiring in 1983. Norma spent her winters in Brooksville, FL from 1983 until 1997. She was a member of the Pulaski Wesleyan Church. Surviving: her husband, Wendall "Pete"; five sons, Erwin R. of Liverpool, Eugene W. of Lutz, FL, Ronald J., Chester L. and Mark T., all of Pulaski, one daughter, JoeAnne VanBrocklin of Sandy Creek; one sister, Norine Waterbury of Pulaski 11 grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren. Norma was predeceased by one brother, Henry Ladd of Central Square; and two sisters, Phyllis Mellen of Pulaski and Carol Tanner of Redfield. Funeral service will be held 4 p.m. Sunday at the Pulaski Wesleyan Church, with a spring burial in Daysville Cemetery, Pulaski. Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. at the church, prior to the funeral. Donations may be made to the Ringgold Fire Department, 12 Lake Street, Pulaski, NY 13142 or to NOCA, 21 Delano Street, Pulaski. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski.
