- September 20, 1891 ~ Lulu Box, age 24 years, 1 month, 22 days, born in the Town of Richland, Daughter of Thomas and Kate Spencer, died in Pulaski of tumor of the uterus.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 24, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - The funeral of Mrs. Lulu Spencer Box, deceased wife of F. F. Box, was held at her late residence yesterday, Tuesday. There was an unusually large and very beautiful display of flowers and the attendance was far beyond the capacity of the house. Rev. Bramley conducted the services, and his remarks were very appropriate. Mrs. Ida Craig's beautiful solo, "Good Night," was exceedingly well rendered. Among the hot house pieces were four pillows, a _ _ and that exquisite design, "The Gates Ajar," presented by her young friends, besides many other elegant combinations. Mrs. Box was universally beloved and will be long missed from the circles in which she moved.
Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, September 24, 1891 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In Pulaski, on Sunday, September 20th, 1891, Mrs. Fred F. Box, after an illness of seven weeks of intense suffering. Aged 24 years. She was the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Theodore Spencer, of this town. She was married to Mr. Fred F. Box. January 4th, 1886. After her marriage she came to reside in the family home of her husband's father, Mr. Richard W. Box. She was possessed of such womanly qualities and genial, sunny disposition that she endeared herself to all who became acquainted with her. Her life was devoted to doing good and making others happy. She was interested in benevolent enterprises of the church, and always ready to do what she could for their advancement. In the social circle where she moved, she was highly esteemed and dearly beloved. Her death brings sorrow, not alone to her kindred and the household where she resided, but to the entire community with whom she associated.
