- Harold A. Gilson, 87
Harold A. Gilson, 87, of 7405 Port Street, Pulaski, died Thursday evening, September 22, 1983, in Oswego Hospital where he had been admitted that morning.
Born May 20, 1896 at New. Haven a son of Willard and Eva Adams Gilson, he was graduated from Mexico Academy High School and married Louella Allen. She died Sept. 22, 1970, 13 years to the day, prior to Mr. Gilson's death.
Mr. Gilson married Lula Vincent April 20, 1971.
He had owned and operated the Port Ontario Bait Shop and worked several years for the Oswego County Highway Department, retiring in 1968.
He was a member of Pulaski Lodge 648 I.O.O.F., and was a past member and president of the Ringgold Fire Department and a former member of the Albion Rod and Gun Club.
He is survived by his wife, Lula; a son, Harold A. Jr., Pulaski; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; two step-sons, Erwin and Donald Vincent, Fulton; 11 step-grandchildren and several step-greatgrandchildren.
A private funeral was held Monday at the Foster-Hax Funeral
Home, Pulaski, with Rev. Virgil Hager, pastor of First Baptist Church, Sandy Creek, officiating.
Burial was in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood.
