Notes - Joyce M. Scott, aged 80, life resident of Richland passed away Saturday at St. Elizabeth’s Hospital in Utica. Joyce was born February 21, 1935 in Orwell, the daughter of Norman and Ruby Sparks Tanner. She graduated from Pulaski High School. Joyce was employed by Schoeller Technical Papers as a security guard for several years, and at Ames Department store for many years and she was also a seamstress. She was a member of the Lake Ontario OES Chapter #124, a lifetime member of the Richland Fire Department Auxiliary and the Oswego County Fireman’s Auxiliary.
Surviving are four daughters, Linda DeLosh of Richland, Catherine Wheeler of Altmar, Jennifer Scott of Richland and Christine Newton of Boylston, four sons, Clinton, Mitchell, and Corey Scott all of Richland and Michael Scott from Phoenix, 68 grandchildren and several great-grandchildren. Joyce was predeceased by one son, Lynn Scott and one daughter, Elizabeth Peacock.
Funeral Services will be held 5 p.m. Thursday, January 7, at the Richland Christian Church, 2652 County Route 2, Richland, NY 13144, with a spring burial at the convenience of the family. Calling hours will be held from 3 to 5 p.m. at the church, prior to the funeral.
