- Linda M. Merritt, age 60, life resident of Williamstown, passed away Monday at St. Joseph's Hospital, Syracuse. Linda was born November 1, 1950, in Williamstown, the daughter of Richard and Laura Mae Wheeler Skellington. She graduated from APW High School in 1968, and she attended CCBI in Syracuse. Linda was employed by Syracuse Developmental Center in Mexico for 18 years, retiring in 2006. She was also employed by Key Bank for several years. Linda was a member of St. Anne's Church in Parish. Surviving: her husband, Donald of Pulaski; two daughters, Jennifer (Adam) Merritt of Williamstown, and Monica Merritt of Bridgeport; her mother, Laura Mae Skellington of Williamstown; two brothers, Richard and Keith Skellington, both of Williamstown; one sister, Bonnie Althouse of Williamstown; one foster-brother, James Hazelwood of Martville; and her mother-in-law, Marion Merritt of Richmond, VA. Linda was predeceased by one brother, Larry Skellington, who died in 2007. Funeral service will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with a spring burial in Fairview Cemetery, Williamstown. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the of CNY, 731 James St., Ste. 200, Syracuse, NY 13203.
