Newspaper Obituary - Sunday, January 19, 1964 Utica Observer Dispatch - Utica, New York - Mrs. Edith Ann Haines, 83, formerly of New Hartford and Rome, died Friday in a Rome hospital. She was born in Peterboro, North Hamptonshire, England. Mrs. Haines moved to Canada in 1906 and came to the United States in 1922. She was married to George Haines in 1903, in England. Mr. Haines died in 1957 in Richland, Oswego County. She attended St. Stephens' Episcopal Church, New Hartford. She leaves two daughters, Mrs. Clyde N. Schoenley, New Hartford and Miss Edith (Lavina) Haines, Rome; three sons, Leonard B., of Utica, Charles E., of White Plains, and Leslie G., of Richland. The funeral will be at 9:30 Tuesday from St. Stephens' Episcopal Church with the Rev. William Sclunidgall officiating. Burial will be in Richland. Calling hours at the John S. Friedel Funeral Home, ate from 7 to 9 today and 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 tomorrow.
