- Terry L. Potter, age 56, life resident of Richland, passed away Saturday at Strong Memorial Hospital in Rochester. Terry was born on January 14, 1955 in Oswego, the son of Harry and Mabel Barker Potter. He graduated from Pulaski High School in 1974. Terry married Deborah Saunders on July 30, 1977. He was employed by the Fulton Companies for 32 years, retiring due to ill-health, in 2005. Terry owned and operated Potter's Trash Removal from 1977 until 2000. Terry was a member of Dirt Motor Sports. He and his family traveled the Dirt Racing Circuit in the Northeast Region, for 11 years, racing at the various tracks. He previously raced motorcycles at Daytona, and he was considered an excellent mechanic. Surviving, his wife, Deborah, one son, Jason (Theresa) Potter of Richland, two daughters, Heather Potter of Richland and Kari (Matt) Walker of Lafayette, NY, two brothers, Fred Potter of Boylston and Charles Potter of Columbia, SC, three sisters, Shirley Purvis of Vero Beach, FL, Evelyn Masuicca of Pulaski, and Erma Schroeder of Richland, and two grandchildren. Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Friday at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski, with burial in Evergreen Cemetery, Orwell. Calling hours will be held from 4 to 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
