Fannie B. White, 89, a longtime resident of Sandy Creek, died Wednesday at the home of her daughter, Joy Wade, 34 Salmon Meadow Lane, Pulaski, where she had resided for three years.
Born June 8, 1912, in Sandy Creek, daughter of Gilbert and Frances Weston Stafford, she attended schools in Sandy Creek. She was a homemaker.
She married Howard N. White on Nov. 29, 1929, in the Lacona Baptist parsonage. He died Jan. 28, 1990.
Surviving besides her daughter are another daughter, Sharon Cordell, Sandy Creek; six sons, Wayne, Phillip and Reginald, all of Sandy Creek, Howard, Sacramento, Calif., Gary, Richland, and Terry, Pulaski; two sisters, Agnes Slater, Central Square, and Pauline Brandt, Syracuse; 29 grandchildren, 41 great- grandchildren and eight great- great-grandchildren.
Two sons died before her, Jack M. on Nov. 30, 1971, and Norman A. on Sept. 28, 1992.
The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Summerville Funeral Home with the Rev. Cathy Hamilton, pastor of Sandy Creek Baptist Church, officiating. Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery.
Calling hours will be from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the funeral home.
