      Newspaper Obituary - Thursday, April 14, 1955 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Mrs. Wheeler, 74, Richland, Dies - Mrs. De Ettie Wheeler, 74, wife of DeForest Wheeler of Richland, died Monday at the Rome City Hospital where she had been a patient since Saturday. Funeral services will be held from the family home in Richland today (Thursday) at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Donald C. Randall, pastor of the Church of Christ, officiating. Interment will be in Richland Cemetery. Besides her husband, she is survived by four daughters, Mrs. Lillian Thornhill of Shelton, Connecticut, Mrs. Doris Taplin of Richland, Mrs. Rose Tilkins of Auburn and Mrs. Kathryn Short of Washington, D. C.; two sons, Noah and Raymond Wheeler of Rome; 33 grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren. Mrs. Wheeler was born at Worth, Jefferson county, August 14, 1880, the daughter of Henry and Mary Seaton Hyde. She was married to Mr. Wheeler July 4, 1899. They came to Richland about 35 years ago where they have made their home since. She was a member of the Oak Leaf Camp, 1744, Royal Neighbors of America.
