Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, February 11, 1967 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Mrs. Lester Barclay, 64, Succumbs - Pulaski - Mrs. Eva M. Barclay, 64, wife of Lester Barclay, died in the House of the Good Samaritan, Watertown, Friday, where she was a patient three days. The funeral will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Taylor funeral home with Rev. Dr. Virgil H. Hager, pastor of Sandy Creek Baptist church, officiating. Spring burial will be in South Richland cemetery. Friends may call at the funeral home from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday and Monday. Surviving besides her husband, are a son and daughter by a former marriage, Arthur Spaulsbury, Pulaski and Mrs. Dorothy Spaulsbury Schroeder, Orwell; a brother, Orville Watson, Middletown, Ohio; four grandchildren and two great-grandchildren. She was born in the town of Mexico, April 18, 1902, a daughter of Samuel and Sadie McCullough Watson. She was married to Arthur Spaulsbury, who died in May, 1942. She was then married to Lester Barclay on April 16, 1944. The couple lived in this village 15 years. She was a member of Park Methodist church, Pulaski and Daysville granges.
