Newspaper Obituary -Wednesday, April 20, 1977 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - William DeShane 20 Year Veteran, Dies - William L DeShane, 45, of Richland was pronounced dead on arrival Sunday morning, April 17, at Oswego Hospital. He was born March 12, 1932, in Richland. The son of William and Naomi Riley DeShane,. He graduated from Pulaski Academy and Central School in 1950. He enlisted in the United States Air Force, October 1950. He served in Viet Nam. Discharged in November 1970 with 20 years of service. After retirement he has been employed by the United States Post Office in Adams, where he worked as usual Saturday, April 16. Married to Sally J. Wise, June 20, 1952. Member of Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Fulton. Survived by his wife, one son Lawrence W. DeShane at home, 16; five daughters: Mrs. Randy (Sharon) Southwell, Richland, Mrs. Ray (Debbie) Parent, Kent, Ohio, Brenda L., Lauren J., Jill A., all at home. He is also survived by his father, William H. DeShane, two brothers, Charles and Terry both of Syracuse and three grandchildren. Funeral 2 p.m. Tuesday, April 19, in Our Saviour Lutheran Church, Fulton the Rev. Carl A. Kruger, pastor officiating. Burial in Richland cemetery with full military services. Arrangements by Foster-Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski.
