    • Obituary of Wanda L. Parsons Spearance
      Wanda L. Parsons Spearance, age 83, life resident of Sandy Creek and Richland, passed away April 29th in Tennessee. Wanda was born February 15, 1939, in Richland, the daughter of Samuel and Etta Mae Sparks King. She graduated from Pulaski High School. Wanda married Alva Parsons and he passed away in 1976 and she later married Ed Spearance who passed away in 1996. She was employed by Sandy Creek Central School as a bus driver for 30 years. Wanda was a life member of the Pulaski VFW and a former member of the Sandy Creek American Legion.

      Surviving are one daughter, Terry Parsons of Kingspoint, TN, one son Alva Parsons of Sandy Creek, stepsisters, Beverly Harten of Lacona, Ella King, and stepbrother John King all of Lacona, six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She was predeceased by two sons, Richard in 2014 and Joseph in 2015 and her brother Richard King in 2021.

      Funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Tuesday, May 10th at the Foster-Hax Funeral Home, 52 Park Street, Pulaski with burial in Daysville Cemetery. Calling hours will be held from 11a.m. to 1 p.m. prior to the service.
