- MUNNSVILLE - Theodora M. "Teddy" Geisler, 96, of 5115 S. Main St., died Thursday, June 6, 2002, at the Oneida Healthcare Center.
She was born on June 4, 1906 in the town of Stockbridge, the daughter of Ernest and Alice Thurston Foster.
Teddy had lived in Munnsville most of her life, graduating from Munnsville High School in 1926. She later graduated from Morrisville Agricultural & Technical College. Teddy had also lived in Morrisville and Peterboro.
She had been a School Teacher in the area for several years. Together with her husband she ran dairy farms in Peterboro and Munnsville from 1930-1971.
Teddy had been a member of the Munnsville Garden Club, a charter member of the Munnsville Volunteer Fire Department Women's Auxiliary. She had also been an active volunteer in the Red Cross and the Girl Scouts.
She was an avid gardener.
Teddy had been a member of the Munnsville Congregational Church and the Stockbridge United Methodist Church.
She married Walter F. Geisler on April 20, 1930 in Munnsville. Walter died on June 24, 1994.
Surviving are one son and daughter-in-law, Walter E. "Jim" and Donna Geisler of Munnsville; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Yvonne and Walter Phillips of Munnsville, Marie and Gerard Miller of Ellicott City, Md., and Dawn Pingleton of Rochester; one brother and sister-in-law, Raymond and Elizabeth Foster of Florida; seven grandchildren, David Phillips, Tamara March, Thomas Phillips, Kylene Heubi, Traci Juman, Tiffany Nuessle and Jamie Geisler; 10 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Teddy was predeceased by a grandson, W. Duane Phillips who died in 1967
