Newspaper Obituary - Saturday Afternoon, February 19, 1916 Oswego Daily Times - Oswego, New York - Native Of Pamelia Dies - Edmond K. Eddy, Civil War Veteran, Passes Away - Pulaski, February 19 - Edmond K. Eddy, a native of Jefferson county, and who was stricken at noon, Thursday with a severe shock of paralysis, passed away eleven hours later. Mr. Eddy was a well known resident of the town of Richland, and had conducted an extensive farm on the Lake road, about two miles west of this village, for about 22 years, when he removed to this town, coming from Jefferson county, where he was well known and had a wide circle of friends. He was born in the town of Pamelia, June 8, 1849. He was a veteran of the Civil war, enlisting in Company M, Twentieth New York Artillery, while a resident of Jefferson county. Mr. Eddy was prominent in Masonic circles. He was a member of the Blue Lodge, Pulaski Chapter, No. 279, R.A.M. and of Pulaski Chapter, No. 159, O.E.S., Lake Ontario Chapter, No. 32 K.T. Oswego, and Media Temple, A.A.O., N.M.S., Watertown. He was also a member of J. B. Butler Post, No. 131, G. A. R., Pulaski. Surviving besides his widow, is one son, Frank Eddy, who lives on the farm. Funeral services will be held at the family home at 2:30 p.m. tomorrow. Rev. Harry Albert Lawrence, pastor of the First Congregational church, will officiate. The Masonic burial service will be conducted by Pulaski lodge.
