      Newspaper Obituary - Saturday, December 21, 1996 Watertown Daily Times - Watertown, New York - Elton "Pete" Hilton, Appliance Store Worker - Elton P. "Pete" Hilton, 83, of 3888 Rome St., died Friday at Sunrise Nursing Home, Oswego. Born November 27, 1913, at Sandy Creek, son of Arthur and Mary Stacey Hilton, he attended Pulaski schools. Mr. Hilton worked at Peter's Appliance Store for 30 years, retiring in 1975. He was also a security worker at Schoeller Technical Paper Co. He married Irene M. Rurey on June 25, 1938, at Fernwood Methodist Church. Mr. Hilton spent most of his life at Pulaski. He was a member of the Pulaski Congregational Church. Surviving besides his wife are two daughters, Rose Mary Felio, Pulaski, and Shirley Fischer, Boyceville, Wisconsin; a brother, Walter D. Hilton, Cortland; three grandchildren, a nephew and a niece. The funeral will be at 11 a.m. Monday in Foster-Hax Funeral Home with the Rev. James Tschudy officiating. Burial will be in South Richland Cemetery, Fernwood. Calling hours will be 3 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. Donations may be made to the Pulaski Congregational Church.
