- Lester P. Hilton, 92, a resident of the Town of Oswego, passed away December 13, 2014 at the Morningstar Residential Care Center.
Born in Pulaski, he was the son of the late Paul and Addie (Sanderson) Hilton.
He was a WWII US Army Air Corp Veteran, who served during the European Theater.
Lester was a Carpenter with the Local 747 for 67 years.
He was a former member of the American Legion. He was an avid outdoorsman. His passions were trapping, fishing, hunting and his woodshop.
Surviving are two sons, Thomas (Joanne) Hilton of Central Square; Daniel (Beth) Hilton of Hannibal; a sister, Iva (Bruce) Goodfellow of Florida; five grandchildren, Greg Hilton (Kristen Longley), Michelle (Chris) Long, Doug (Angela) Hilton, Mike (Courtney) Hilton, Andy (Meredith) Hilton; ten great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
He was predeceased by his wife, Virginia “Ginny” (Natoli) Hilton; three brothers, Edwin, Dorwin and Robert Hilton; a sister, Pauline Cummins.
Calling hours will be held 3-7 p.m. Tuesday, at the Nelson Funeral Home.
Funeral Services will be held 10 a.m. Wednesday, at the funeral home, 11 West Albany St. Oswego. Burial will be in Oswego Town Rural Cemetery.
