Notes - Newspaper Obituary - December 19, 1918 Sandy Creek News - Edna S. Widrig - The passing away of Mrs. Ednah S. Widrig Tuesday morning, Dec. 10, after one week's illness of influenza, was simply the stepping from one room to another, it was to say farewell to the world of sorrow and welcome to that world of eternal bliss. The departed was born on the Sprague homestead in the western part of the town, Sept. 18, 1885, being the only daughter of Abner and Alllie Bettinger Sprague. She was united in married to Clarence J. Widrig, Aug. 25, 1906, who with her mother survive her and who have the sympathy of a large circle of friends in their great affliction. Her funeral was held at her late home Friday, Dec. 13, Rev. T. T. Davies officiating. Interment in the family lot at Woodlawn cemetery.
