Husband of Edith Elizabeth Archibee Colvin & Katherine Czamy Homick Campney Cole (married November 23, 1978.) [Note: Katherine Cole died May 28, 1999, age 91 years, at Gibsonton, Hillsborough County, Florida; she is buried with her first husband, Michael Homick, at Hillsboro Memorial Cemetery at Brandon, Hillsborough County, Florida.]
Newspaper Obituary - Monday, February 7, 1983 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Rodney W. Cole, aged 66, of Lakeview, Florida. formerly of Richland and Pulaski, died Tuesday, February 1, 1983 at Brandon Hospital, Brandon, Florida. He was educated in the local schools and was first married to Edith Archibee Colvin in 1948. She died in 1977. Cole retired in 1975 from the Airbrake Company in Watertown. After that he operated the Cole Coffee Cup in Pulaski for 10 years. In 1971 he purchased the Lakeview Golf Course at Mannsville which he sold in 1977. He was a member of Park United Methodist Church. Past Noble Grand of Pulaski Chapter IOOF. A member of the Rising Star Rebekah Lodge 149 and past member of the Richland Fire Company. Survivors include his wife Katherine Cole, one daughter, Mrs. George (Doris) Cole of Parish, 14 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren; two step-sons; two step-daughters and two brothers, Norman and Lyle Cole both of Pulaski. One son, Donald L. Colvin died July 30, 1982. Funeral services were held at 1:00 p.m. Saturday at the Foster Hax Funeral Home, Pulaski with Rev. Earl Smith officiating. Spring burial will be in Riverside Cemetery, Pulaski. Odd Fellow services were held Friday evening at the funeral home.
Rodney was educated in local schools, and following early years of farming, began work at Watertown Airbrake in Watertown, New York. He retired in 1975 and then operated the Cole Coffee Cup in Pulaski for 10 years. In 1971 he purchased the Lakeview Golf Course in Mannsville, which he operated until 1977.
He was a member of the Park United Methodist Church, The Pulaski Chapter 648 I.O.O.F Lodge, Rising Sun Rebekah Lodge 149, and the Richland Fire Company.
