- Brenda D. Boardman Brenda D. Boardman, 62, of State Route 69, Taberg, died April 1, 2009 with her family by her side at University Hospital, Syracuse, after a brief illness. Brenda had been a diabetic since the age of six. She was born May 11, 1946 in Redfield, N.Y. the daughter of Delos and Shirley Champion Clark. She graduated from Sandy Creek School in 1965 and was a licensed cosmetologist. On June 28, 1969, she married Alfred G. Boardman Jr. in St. Mary’s Church, Florence. Brenda worked for Farnsworth Printing and also as a home health care aide for several years. She also worked for New York State DDSO, and at Camden Schools with the Latchkey Program. She was a member of St. Patrick’s Church, Taberg and Taberg Volunteer Firemen’s Auxiliary. Brenda loved her pets. She is survived by her husband, Alfred; one daughter and son-in-law, Kimberly and John Dean, Taberg; two grandchildren, Sydney and Connor Dean; her father, Delos W. Clark, Camden; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Dwight and Charree Clark, Columbia, Md., and Terry and Pam Clark, Williamstown; and several nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by three children, Brenda, Matilda and Alfred III, one brother, Randy Clark, and her mother, Shirley. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held 10 a.m. Monday at St. Patrick’s Church, Taberg. Interment will be in St. Patrick’s Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the Prince-Boyd & Hyatt Home for Funerals, Inc., 210 W. Court St., Sunday from 4-8 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Diabetes Association.
