    • Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, September 15, 1847 Richland Courier - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this Town on Thursday the 9th inst., Israel Jones, aged 72 years. Mr. Jones was the first who groped his way through the 12 mile wood and settled in this town some 43 years ago. He was the oldest of nine children, whose father lived to a sufficient age to see them all settled in the world, and who with this exception are now living, and the long funeral train of connection that followed him to the grave, shows conclusively that his descendants will not soon be extinct.
