Newspaper Obituary - Wednesday, February 7, 1894 Pulaski Democrat - Pulaski, New York - Died - In this village, Sunday, February 4th, 1894, Anson R. Jones, aged 73 years. Mr. Jones was born in this village. He was a prominent and active democrat serving on the county and town committees. He was greatly interested during the war in looking after the filling of this town's quota with enlisted recruits. Possibly no man in the township of Richland, was better posted regarding our war history, the raising of funds for bounties and the names of the regiments, companies and enlisted soldiers, of the town than he. For many years he owned and occupied what is known as the Reed farm in the southern part of this village. A wife, a daughter, Kittie O. Jones, and two sons, Harmon and Burt Jones, survive him. They all reside in this village. The funeral was held yesterday at two o'clock, Rev. R. Paul, rector of St. James's church, officiating.
